Anime: Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (2006)

At first glance, this is your normal romance drama happening in a hospital, which you can watch in dramas on your TV. However, mysteriously i got drawn to this beautiful crafted story and its seemingly real characters who are able to capture the viewers' heart.

All I can say is that although it's a short 6 episode OVA, it fully utilise its time in expressing and rationalising the thoughts of the characters, and with the wonderful voice cast, characters seems very alive and viewers are able to feel their thoughts. There are quite a few scenes that will leave in tears. The ending, undoubtedly a satisfying one, will leave you thinking about cherishing your loved ones. I guess that's about the moral of the story. One thing special about this anime is that it doesn't attempt to be far-fetched but yet able to deliver a few laughs. Anime dramas are really getting better and better. Not since Honey and Clover have I seen a drama so intriguing.
On a sidenote, If you hate Shinn's crying in Gundam Seed Destiny, don't be afraid to watch this anime. Suprisingly Yuuichi's crying is not so annoying but rather much real. (Both characters are voiced by the same seiyuu, Suzumura Ken'ichi)
