SRW OGS Updates: New Mechas (Updated)

The official SRW site is updated with mecha and character profiles (not all though). I will only feature those which are appearing in the OG series for the 1st time, as translating the whole of them will take a lot of time. Characters will have to leave til next time.

Details: A super robot piloted by Fighter Roar, It's named Compatikaiser in short. Kisaburo Azuma, a civillian inventor, found the mysterious robot "Compatible Kaiser" in a heavily damaged state, and rebuilt it based on any parts of it that are usable. Its power output come from the OG (Over Gate) engine which Roar brings with him. However, the engine is not fully repaired (due to limitations in dealing with alien technology), thus it is not possible for Compatible Kaiser to release its full potential as of now. Main armaments include Spiral Knuckle and Kaiser Burst.

1st appearance: The Great Battle IV (SFC)

Mecha Design: Obari Masami

Official Notes: Compatible Kaiser is a Banpresto Original robot that appears in the game The Great Battle IV, which was released on Super Famicom (Super Nintendo) in 1994. The Great Battle IV, other than Compatible Kaiser and Roar, includes Gundam, Ultraman and Kamen Rider. This Compatible Kaiser which appear in SRW OGS is graphically refined by Obari Masami, who is also the director for Choujyuujin Gravion.

Details: It came about about by heavily modifying and strengthening Gespenst, the 1st robot in the Personal Trooper series. (simply said, it's the old antique grandfather of all PTs, and is still in use by Guiliam in OG1 and OG2)

A custom robot for Gulliam Jaeger.

With Gulliam's opinions and Mao Industries' latest technology, it was modified right down to the basic frame, and possess capabilities that does not lose to the latest types.

A big flight unit equipped with the Tesra Drive is attached to its back, giving it top-notch maneuverability. Armament-wise, in addition to its predecessor's equipment, it comes with a Mega Buster Cannon, a beam cannon with enormous output.

Also known as "Black Ghost".

Mecha Design: Io Takuya

Details: It came about by reinforcing the armaments and armor of Lion, the mass production Armor Module used by DC (Divine Crusaders), which was captured.

(In OG1, Ryoto deflected to the protagonists' side with his Lion)

The designs are done by Ryoto Hikawa, who is also the pilot. (Ryoto is more talented as a technician, but he fights when forced necessary.)

The various parts used in modifying are taken from the spare parts of Personal Troopers such as Huckebein, Gespenst and Alteisen. Although it was modified in a rush, But there is high potential in this machine, as it stands right in the middle between Personal Troopers and Armor Modules.

Mecha Design: Ono Seiji

Details: A human type mobile weapon developed by Wong Industries that is in the category of robots named Gestault.

Equipped with a high performance Tesra Drive, it boast of good agility and maneuverability. Also, it is ideally balanced between close combat and long range combat, and it battles best using its AMN system in successive attacks. (i.e it's good at ganging up on robots)

However, since it's a machine that primarily focus on agility, much of its armor is sacrificed to loghten its weight, thus explaining its fragile armor.

Mecha Design: Magaki Ryouta

Personal Notes: Does its profile ring a bell? Yes, it is most likely related to that machine Vartolle in SRW OG the Animation (OVA), and may be its prototype. Thus, there's actually a chance that they will link up OGS (or OG2 for that matters) to OGA.

Details: ART-1 is short for "Advanced Real Personal Trooper Test Type-1". It is a new type of PT based on the "RXR Project", a project that aims to develop the next genration of R-series, which is also one of the "Leios Plan", a bigger plan to raise the credibility and stability of using EOT (stands for Extra-Over Technology. i.e super alien technology).

In preparation for the development of the next generation machines, ART-! was developed for testing based on data from R-1 and Huckebein Mk-III. (and since it's a prototype, it doesn't have tricolore colours as of R-1, thus explaining the prototype colours)

Although it can transform to flying mode (ART-Wing), it doesn't have the combination capability of the R-series, as it is pretty much a stand-alone machine by itself. However, its abilities surpasses even that of R-1.

The pilot of ART-1 is Ryuusei Date.

Mecha Design: Katoki Hajime

Details: Originally Guarlion Custom which is piloted by Leona Gerstein, it was modified and stengthened with LOVE by her boyfriend Tasuku Shinguuji.

With the latest PT technology and its equipped Tesra Drive, it has great agility and power. Als, it is befitted with the T-LINK system (a device that amplifies psychic powers).

The pilot of Siegerlion is Leona Gerstein.

1st appearance: This is the 1st time

Mecha Design: Ono Seiji

Details: This is the first frame of the multi-purpose human type mobile weapon "Excellance", which is able to change its frame in according to the type of battleground.

"Striker" is a machine specific for land combat, equipped with a removable Arm Weapon System on its right hand. With its high speed movements, it is able to use this boost of speed in close combat with its Crusher Arm as its main attack, a strategy it works best in.

The pilot of Excellance is Raul Gureden, and the one in charge of developing the various frames is Mizuho Saiki.

Mecha Design: Ohwa Mitsuru

Details: A state when Excellance is equipped with the air combat frame "Flyer". The wings on its back are equipped with movable boosters which allows it to dodge flexibly. Attack-wise, it comes with a Destruction Rifle.

When it connects its Destruction Rifle to its generator, it goes into MAX mode. (and unleash the greatest power of Excellance Flyer)

Mecha Design: Ohwa Mitsuru

Design: A state when Excellance is equipped with the space combat frame "Cosmo-Driver". Equipped with big boosters on its back, it possess high agility and maneuverability than the other frames. Also, it comes with Fairy, a long distance guidance weapon, allowing it to make all-range attacks. (similar to Bits and Funnels in Gundam)

Personal Notes: There are three more frames other than the three mentioned above. One is "Gunner", designed for long range combat. (Basically it's Gundam HeavyArms with a beam rifle); One is "Diver", designed for sea combat. (This is going to be useful in OGS, given the number of scenarios in water); The last frame is its ultimate frame, "Lightning", an all-terrain type frame which possess capabilities far greater than all the other frames combined (yes, it's that powerful). The female version of the ultimate frame is "Eternal", but given that Fiona may not be appearing in OGS, it is up to debate whether it will appear as a secret unit. (Fiona's name can be found in Raul's profile though. Their relationship are that of twin siblings.)
