Release date for SRW OGS confirmed & New commercial video unveiled

SRW OGS (Super Robot Wars Original Generations) for PS2 has hooked us ever since the start of 2006 with its announcement, was supposed to be released on January 2007, but got postponed indefinitely due to quality problems I guess, and after a few months, Banpresto has finally confirmed the release date to be:

28th June 2007

Yes, FINALLY… This is one of the few times that a SRW game got delayed such a long time. This better be good.

There’s also a new commercial video of SRW OGS, which was broadcasted right at the end of the last episode of SRW OG Divine Wars.

Despite the rerunning scenes from previous promotion videos, there are still some interesting stuff to see:

- a cut in of Ryoto while he’s targetting an enemy (similar to Kira’s, Athrun’s and Gai’s cut-in in SRW J and SRW W)

- a cut-in of Grungast Sanshiki using its Omega Blaster (piloted by Bullet)

- Further scenes of Twin Bird Strike

- a cut-in of Rapiecage using it’s Magnum Beak, followed by Ouka (very good eye-candy, hehe)

- a cut-in of Grungast Sanshiki using its Zankantou (piloted by Zengar)

- a cut-in of Ryukou-oh summoning a mountain using amulets (Mountain Pressure), followed by Kusuha

- Raul in his Excellence Flyer using its Plasma Sword

- cut-in of Lamia (*visually stunning*, haha. I was biased towards her anyway) in Ash Saviour using its Halberd Launcher

- Guiliam in his Gespenst RV

- 1st ever scene of Compatible Kaiser doing a move. Here we can see a cut-in of Kaiser using its Kaiser Boomerang

- a cut-in of Valshion using its Cross Smasher(piloted by Bian Zoldark)

- a cut-in of Judecca using its “Second Hell” move (piloted by Rebi Tora)

- a cut-in of SRX using its Dominion Ball
